This Issue - Peter Gee (Pendragon)

Hiya girls, and welcome to the ONLY page in ANY prog rock mag for us girls. That's right. This page is devoted to those hunks who strut their stuff, every night, right in front of our eyes, with their packages bulging!

In this, the first ever PROG HUNKS page, we've got a real treat with you. The first ever interview with Pendragon basser - Peter Gee! I managed to track him down at his home one afternoon, and asked him the questions that were right on the end of my lips.

Fran Tuckett Peter, I caught you at last! Do you mind if I have a few words with you?
Peter Gee Er, no. Who are you?
F.T. Oh, my name is Fran, and I work for a new Prog rock mag, Silhobbition. I write the female interest page.
P.G. Er, and you want to interview me? OK, that's fine. What do you want to ask?
F.T. What are your musical influences?
P.G. Well, I was brought up listening to a lot of Church music, you know the sort of stuff, young choir boys, big organs. Very uplifting, They I went through my 'rebellion' stage, when I listened to a lot of Cliff Richards and Val Doonican, then I settled down into the Genesis, Pink Floyd, Sex Pistols sort of groove.
F.T. What is your favourite piece of music?
P.G. Er, Pendragon?
F.T. Yes
P.G. Er, at the moment, I really love playing "Red Shoes". Mainly because the whole crowd gets down to it. It really brings a smile to my face to see all the kids enjoying themselves.
F.T. Oooh, yeah. I really swing to that one. Do you like my shoes. They're nice aren't they?
P.G. Er, lovely. Nice and red too.

F.T. How do you deal with all the attention that you get, you know, from girls and the like.
P.G. Er, well, they tend to gravitate more towards Nick or Fudge...
F.T. Is it true that Fudge got his nickname because of his sexual orientation?
P.G. ... and they sort of bypass me. Which I like. I don't think I could deal with the sort of interest that they have to put up with. And yes.
F.T. So what's your favourite sexual position?
P.G. Er, well, I have a lot of bass guitars, several that I take on tour with the band. I don't have a particular favourite, but I've got a few that I use more than the rest, yes.
F.T. Are you going steady with anyone at the moment, or are you available?
P.G. Er, we're currently working on our next album, just writing the songs and demoeing them at the moment. Then we'll be recording it, rehearsing it and taking it out on the road. So I don't suppose I am available for anything else at this moment in time.
F.T. Do you ever, you know, go 'solo'?
P.G. Er, I've no plans at the moment for a solo album, though I'd like to think that in the future, I'll be able to do one, just to find my own space, my own sound. But the thought of a solo album fills me with dread at the moment, so I'd probably have to call on lots of favours from old chums.
F.T. Thank you very much for your time, Peter.
P.G. Er, that's quite alright, young girl. Do you fancy a quickie?
With that, I made my excuses and left the old leches's grasp.

Next Issue, I hope to be grappling with Mr Dreamboat himself, Andy Sears.
