SILHOBIT PROGSCLUSIVE by RAEL POINTER

Yes folks, its OFFICIAL, PETE NICHOLLS has rejoined IQ! The news was due to be published in the IQ fan club mag, but as usual, WE GOT THERE FIRST!

As IQ fans know, the band has been coringly quiet over the years or so. Many fans predicted that countless blows to the band, including a record company bust-up, the sacking of basist TIM ESAU and front man PAUL MENIEL, would surely see the end of one of the true PROGRESSIVE bands of a time. Slowly though they started rebuilding the ship, asking PETE NICHOLE to sing at six or seven 'one off' gigs, with added help from long time LEDGE MARSHALL on bass. When LEDGE tragically died last August it seemed to be the final body blow.

However, IQs unique 'Goat-in-the-garden' attitude once more reared its head. They tested some water by releasing a copulation CD of live, rare and unreleasd tracks, entitled 'JAI POLLET D ARNU' which simply translates as 'I AM POLLETTE D'ARNU'. THIS sold by the bucket load, so PETE decided that the time was correct to officially rejoin, for better, poorer, richer, but not worse.

Now all we can do is sit back and wait. SiLHOBBIT contacted drummer PAUL CORK, Who told us that they were hopping to do a few dates with new basssist JIM JOWLIT(ex-ARK) Possibly at the MARQUEE or maybe a German show at KLEVE in November. PAUL COCK also promised SILHOBBIT that a new album could be forthcuming in 1992, now they have a stability line-up.

Time will tell us what the future has in store, but let us al hope and pray that one day, some day, hopefully soon, we will once again be able to sit back, pour that tea, nibble a digest and listen to IQs new 'THE WAKE'!
