We received some very good news concerning those old timers JADIS. After nearly 10 years, 5 demo tapes,and 1 unoffical album. JADIS have finally secured a MAJOR record deal on GEP Records. Now label mates with that other PROG rock giants IQ. GARY CHANDLER (vocals + quitar) said "I've been waiting for this day for years now. We are really pleased as a lot of our fans have been hastling us for years to get something out on CD and vinyl, and now we can give them something at last .Basically I reckon we got signed due to being a live band. MARTIN ORFORD (JADIS + IQ KEYBOAORD PLAYER + FLUTE and DIRECTER of GEP) said"It's utter rubbish that peaple are saying we got the deal because i'm a director within GEP. Personaly I don't think I influenced GEP's decision to approach us and sign us!"

STEVE CHRISTY (drums). Said "I'm really looking forward to touring, as my Mum and Dad bought me a new Tama drum kit. Its got bigger cymbols and a louder sound, so hopefully I can drown out Nick's tinny bass! 

Apparantly STEVE is having a few teething problems with his nice new Tama kit, since the Nomansland fan club gig back in August. Some of the adoring audience were worried that STEVE'S new kit sounded a little quiet. So if any of you out there who were at the show could pass on any information to STEVE, about what went wrong, please could you write to the address at the bottom. (ED. Personally he should try hitting them HARDER or take a few, LESSONS.

Great news also on the recording front, JADIS have a song on the SYM INFO magazine CD, "THE BEGINNING AND THE END". It was recorded last June in STEVE'S Dad's garage, and the quality is amazing. They even managed to get it, into stereo. 

To coincide with the release of the SYM INFO CD, and a possible NEW release, JADIS have annonced, some dates to promote themselves. GARY GHANDLER says "We know we are lazy, as a touring band, so we've announced our first northern dates in over 5 years. We are starting to try to play new places as you can see from the dates, so hopefully we should see some new faces"
