IQ's Marvin Orford may think he leads the so called coast-prog scene, but he'd better watch out because Galahad have now recorded an album to match anything he has done!

Galahad have always been plying their trade - plugging away like the gardener using goats to mow his lawn. This album sees the gardener with a spanking new bad-ass Mountfield and a perfectly cut lawn.

'Year Zero' must have cost a bit to record because no expense has been spared. The artwork, the recording, the mixing, the mastering is all top notch. This cleverly worked piece is more than just an album - it is likely to be the album of the year.

Musically the whole album sees vocalist 'Stu Nicholson' and guitarist 'Roy Keyworth' take a back seat as this work is special thanks to the talented master keyboardist 'Dean 'Deano' Baker' who has put in the hours.. Sure, the vocals and guitaring is very good but they've held back which is a credit to the band as many bands find it hard not to wank over everything. 'Year Zero' has space and this is where it is classy and refreshing. Neil 'Sergeant' Pepper may have left, but he will be remembered thanks to a fine performance along with drummer Spencer Luckman.

The album is better than most prog around at the moment because it has some very modern bits but some vintage bits too. They've recorded an album which is both traditional yet modern. I can't remember any gaps in the tracks as it flows delightfully and leaves the listener unable to get up or lose concentration- Year Zero is a listener's album....good job Stu Nicholson has a nice new sofa to sit down and take the 'Year Zero' journey!

Galahad weren't lying to the world when they promised us their best album yet. They've recorded a prog classic - their Lamb Lies Down.

Go out and buy it now !    I promise that you won't regret it.
