| It Bites Reform
It Bites were one of the best three
British rock bands of all time. Last night Francis Dunnery, John
Beck, Dick Nolan and Bob Dalton met up for the first time in 13 years to perform two songs together,
Hunting the Whale and Still to Young to Remember,
for the Francis Dunnery Appreciation Society convention gig at
the Union Chapel, in Islington, London.

It is hoped that they will have had a taste for it last night and that there is more to

| It Bites Back?
There are so many rumours as to if John, Dick or
Bob will be at the Francis Dunnery convention this Saturday at
The Union Chapel, Islington. Tickets can be bought at the door and Silhobbit.com reckon there is a good chance that something special might happen, although the band remain tight lipped and the band's official site
www.itbites.com refuse to comment but also refuse to deny in two telephone calls made by Charlie O'Mara to
two separate people who work for the band's website.
Silhobbit.com will be at the event with a camera and so you'll be the first to read about it if the rumours are true. Remember, Silhobbit.com have been correct about many things in the past and we use sneaky tactics to bring you the
news. |

| Thieves Kitchen
Thieves Kitchen have announced their first gig of the year. The band will be playing at the
Spirit of '66, Verviers, Belgium on 20th December. Things are going to plan on their new album too, with a window or releaseness of mid/late August looking
achievable. They've also given the tracks proper titles now, as they say on their site
"The epic 24 minuter has been christened 'Chovihani Rise'. The two short ones (both under six minutes!) are the breakneck
'The Picture Slave' and 'Cardinal Red'. The similarly short but acoustic 'ballad' remains known as
'Confront' - for now, at least. As for the two 'medium' (~13 minute) length tracks - these are the cool, jazzy
'De Profundis' and the rock-out of 'Surface Tension'." |

Jack Yello
"Jack Yello is a progressive rock band founded in 2000 out of Darius, Avalanche and Jagiello. Their first album "Thorns of Anger" was recorded without any sampler or sequencer between December 2001 and February 2003 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Jack Yello is combining several styles that also include hooklines and melodies, with influences ranging from Arena and Marillion to Spocks Beard and Dream Theater.
After 15 months of hard working in our studio we are proud presenting you Thorns of Anger. An concept album of 78 minutes with past epochs, classical elementaries and sharp
guitarriffs."
|
|
 |
Pendragon
More updates to their website have taken place, and
it's now available in a full range of European dialects. Nick is currently
beavering away and working on some tracks for the new album, which by all
accounts, will be a departure from the trade marked sound of the last four
albums.

|
|
Nolan/Wakeman
The guys met up recently, and while getting pissed,
started planning their Frankenstein masterpeice. They reckon on their being
a lot of new faces on this album (rumour has it that those Tatu girls will
be singing on some of the tracks) and they hope to have Robert Powell again.
Clives favourite record at the moment is the Fast Food
Song by the Fast Food Rockers. He told Silhobbit that the song "has
always been a popular tune round these parts, and this funky version just
makes me damp"
|
|
|
Oliver Wakeman
Oli has announced that the vocalist on his forthcoming
album, Mother Ruin, will be none other than Silhobbit fave Moon Kinnaird
(nee Gould). The album is taking shape, preferably round, with bass and
guitar work going on. Once Moon has done the vocals, and Wagstaff has
finished the drums, they aim to mix the thing in August and get it out by
October.
|
|
|
Thieves Kitchen
The band tell us that their new masterpeice 'Silhobbeth'
is coming on brilliantly, and should be due for release in August, with the
rhythmn department's grooves laid down, and the keyboard parts currently WiP.
More news as we get it, baby.

|
Xinema
Ximena, Unicorn Records Swedish AOR-prog gods, are also locked away in the studio (but it's summer, for Gods sake!) trying to produce their own follow up album, after their first one, "Different Ways"
got rave reviews elsewhere
"Xinema is a three piece prog/melodic rock band from Sweden, and has existed in it's present form since March -99. Their music can be described as melodic emotional, well played and with a profound intention of making each song a working entity.
The band's motto is: "-A good song is always a good song, regardless of genre." Xinema takes great pride in their strong musical integrity, and has always done things their own way. This gives at hand that there's no obvious choice when it comes to placing them a specific genre. The guys themselves feels that they are standing with one leg in the melodic/AOR field, and with the other in the progressive realm.
This Band will please fans of SAGA, ASIA and the likes "
|
|
|
Hamadryad
Hamadryad, Unicorn Records' top selling artist, are currently in the studio recording the followup to their critically aclaimed debut "Conservation of Mass". According to Denis Jalbert, the new CD will pick up where "Conservation of Mass" left off. So expect long pieces of pure Progressive Rock like only Hamadryad know to do.

It Bites
Anxious It Bites fans are getting cold-feet as there has been little news regarding the
dvd and cd plus reformation news. Silhobbit.com can
exclusively shine some light on the matter.
The website has remained unchanged due to problems with a
new-site to replace the old one. The new-site did not function correctly for Mac users, then the person who hosts the
site ended up in hospital and has been there all week! The current site should have some news updates put on
any day now.
|
|
Bob told Silhobbit.com "I'm away now until the end of the month drumming in Germany, so we will wait until I get back before engaging in the new site where the dvd and cd can be bought. I didn't want to have to deal with problems from Germany so it is the safest
option" he stated.
