Hero Pete
Saves the Day

Witnesses described Pete as 'Heroic'

An Extraordinary chain of events took place at a secret location last month which despite the best efforts to keep this groundbreaking news out of the headlines a leak to Silhobbit.com prevents this from going un-noticed.

Witnesses described Pete as 'Heroic'.

We are legally and morally bound to protect the identity of the owner of the house due to the delicate nature of this amazing unforeseen act of human endurance

The Staggering Facts

Everyone loves Pete Trewavas and it is said that he “is a man with no enemies”. The law-abiding Marillion bassist had been working outside of Marillion in an all-star lineup of musicians with his Transexuals project featuring members of Dream Theatre, The Flower Kings and Spock's Beard.

The band folded after a bitter row over money and food, so now Pete is working with a new project with another set of well known musicians and currently writing with the discreet guitarist 'Mr X' in a secret location between London and America.

After a successful morning working on new songs Pete and Mr X decided to get some lunch at the local Asda store. Silhobbit can exclusively reveal that Pete chose Beetroot Salad washed down with diet coke.

Once they had eaten the boys headed back to Mr X's house to continue work, but on returning they were confronted with a sickening blow to the proceedings. The million to one event that was about to unfold was unseen and bizarre.

Locked Out

Foolishly Mr X had left his keys in the house thus having locked himself out. This was a shattering blow and potentially disastrous as they had no way of continuing work in a garden with no instruments or alcohol.
What happened next was an incredible act of bravery that displayed the extra human qualities that so few possess.

Brave Pete now knew he had to act fast to save the day. He was about to put his own life at risk!

Sickening Blow

Pete suggested that if there was a window open he might be small enough to climb through it. Mr X had access to a ladder which could solve the situation which should have been needless because if they had a spare key hidden in the garden their worst nightmare could have been so easily avoided. But this nightmare was a sickening reality.

An impression of what it would've looked like

Amazingly Mr X had a ladder and there was a window open in Mr X's Lodger's bathroom, left open to air the room after brown waste had stunk out the room on the previous evening. Witnesses were stunned when dare-devil Pete proceeded to risk his life by climbing up the tall ladder and using his skill and balance to squeeze through the gap like an impressive burglar

Danger

Onlookers were stunned when law-abiding Pete finally entered the bathroom but in the process he knocked over a popular cola branded drinking glass which came free with the purchase of two bottles of American fizzy pop. Once Pete was inside he was able to once again risk his life by opening the locked front door so that his musician friend could enter.

Guardian Angel

Luckily God was on Pete's side on this day and thankfully Pete had a guardian angle looking over him, guiding him step-by-step up the perilous ladder and preventing the worst from happening.

In the face of danger Pete Trewavas showed an immense strength of character and outstanding leadership qualities which led to a safe solution.

What Pete did went over and above the call of duty and is damning to other musicians such as Galahad's Stu Nicholson, Pallas's frontman and car owner Alan Reed and drummer Chester Thompson.

Silhobbit.com have been praised in the past by Silhobbit.com for giving blood and vital organs to the homeless, while Moria Falls keyboarder Dave White received favourable press for returning a lost jumper to an American tourist.

Medal

Every year Silhobbit will present a musician an award for outstanding bravery. In the past we have awarded it for the bravery of a driver who risked his life by driving whilst drunk, to a musician who risked going to prison for having sex with an under-age fan, and Martin Orford for risking his liver each night.

Editor's Comment

Prog fans were up in arms when Diz Minute was sacked from Marillion for not being assertive enough. Who would have thought that they would have replaced him with a clown-ass tv repairman with clean shoes and a slick-dick image. Polished Pete won the hearts of the fans with his first bass note and ability to play with an out of time drummer. Suddenly everyone was a winner, and as autumn turns to winter the gloves that Pete has worn must never be buried.
