These are the shocking photos depicting the first cruel fate of Mick Pointer's drums used during his time with Marillion.

The roto-toms appear live on the 'Recital of the Script' video played by Fish during 'Market Square Heroes'. They were also used during the recording of Marillion's first album.

 Mick left the drums, along with a set of drum-cases, at Brendan Loy's studio in Whipsnade when he used a rehearsal room whilst preparing for the very first Arena album way back in 1995.

One by One
The cases and roto-toms were recently passed on to Silhobbit with a request to pass them back to owner Mick Pointer. Instead of returning the goods we thought it would be better to destroy Mick's possessions one by one. Remember, these drums have massive sentimental value to Mick, so what we are doing couldn't be crueler.

Each week we will destroy another drum, ending with the cases. To do this we need your help in choosing interesting methods of disposal. The more bizarre the better. The more imaginative ideas will be rewarded with the chance to appear in Silhobbit.com destroying Mick's property as we bring you the exclusive photos.

Dirty Mick
This raises an important social question. 
Is it right for us to do such a thing? Is getting enjoyment from one person's loss but giving pleasure to others from this bizarre spectacle acceptable? 

If there is a consensus that this publicity stunt may backfire and isolate the prog fans and divide communities across the world, then let us know what you think.

A guest book has been set up to monitor your comments, we want your views. This project should last for two months until the drums and cases have all been destroyed.

Email your friends and tell them about this unique event. The remains will be presented to Mick and his reaction will be documented. We'll want to capture his reaction and expose his heartache as entertainment.
